Tech 2 Rental with instructions and phone support ($600 refundable deposit included)

Tech 2 Rental Service

All listed prices below include a $600 refundable deposit.

This rental is ideal for customers with either:

• A vehicle with no ECU
• An unclonable or physically damaged ECU
• Somebody who absolutely cannot be without their car for a couple days as our cloning service requires you to send in your failing unit for cloning, this service does not
• If you have a failing ECU that is not physically damaged you should check out our cloning service to see if you can go that route instead as it is much easier and cheaper.

With our Tech 2 rental, you will receive:

• A Tech 2 tool
• A laptop with Global TIS software installed, which allows you to gain security access for your vehicle

The rental can also be used to:

• Program new keys to the vehicle
• Program other modules
• Change vehicle settings such as door unlock patterns, fog light activation, TPS configuration, and more

Standard Rental Price Includes:

• Shipping both ways (We include a prepaid label to ship back the equipment)
• Tech 2 Tool rental and all needed cables
• Laptop with Global TIS software to gain security access
• Video instructions on how to gain security access and program a new ECU
• $600 refundable deposit upon return of equipment in working order

Rental Options:

Rental Including Tested Replacement ECU: This includes all of the above plus phone support for programming the replacement ECU. The replacement ECU is guaranteed to work with your vehicle and comes with a 60-day warranty.

Rental Including Tested Replacement ECU + 1 Year Warranty: The same as the above but with a 1-year warranty on the replacement ECU.

Rental Period:

The rental period is 1 week. You must return the equipment within 1 week of receiving it to receive your deposit back. This means the item must be dropped off and scanned within 1 week of receiving it. This ensures we can help as many customers as possible.

Important Notes:

You are welcome to rent this unit to program your own replacement ECU. However, we are not responsible for compatibility if you do not purchase the replacement from us. Ensure the replacement matches your car's year, gearbox, and engine size. If you are unsure, we highly recommend purchasing the replacement from us.

If renting and purchasing the replacement from us, please provide:

• Vehicle year
• Gearbox type
• Engine type (big T or small t)

If you know the model of the old ECU, that is helpful but not essential. For assistance, feel free to reach out, and we can help you determine the necessary information.

Stage 1 Tune Option:

If you want our Stage 1 tune and are purchasing the replacement from us, we can preload the replacement with the Stage 1 tune. The Tech 2 programming will not overwrite the tune. To add this option, visit our performance tuning page and add the $100 option to your cart before checkout. We offer a discount when purchased with the rental and replacement, just like with the cloning service and replacement.

Key Programming:

If you are renting this to program keys, make sure to purchase brand new unprogrammed OEM keys. If you want to purchase these from us, reach out as we can sell them, though they are not listed on our site at this time.
